More than 300,000 children each year find hope and healing in the network of Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs) in the United States. The Southern Regional Children’s Advocacy Center (SRCAC) works each day to empower local communities to serve child victims of abuse compassionately and effectively. The National Children’s Advocacy Center (NCAC) is seeking an experienced Program Coordinator to join our mission—to champion and strengthen the global response to child abuse.

About the SRCAC

The Southern Regional Children's Advocacy Center (SRCAC) is a National Children's Advocacy Center (NCAC) project funded through the Department of Justice to provide training and technical assistance to communities working to provide a coordinated, collaborative response to child abuse. We are one of four regional training and technical assistance centers in the United States. Currently, there are 415 Children's Advocacy Centers and 16 State Chapter networks of CACs within the Southern Region. SRCAC works hard to offer top-notch training experiences, both in-person and virtual, and to ensure our work is data-informed.
 

About the role

The Program Coordinator for Learning Operations provides administrative assistance for SRCAC staff and programs. This position is responsible for coordinating and executing training production and operational processes. The position is also entrusted to manage the implementation of communications so that our work reaches the appropriate audience. In partnership with an amazing team of talented staff, the Program Coordinator will ensure our programmatic offerings are coordinated and ready for the national stage. This role is subject to the availability of grant funding.


A typical day may include:

  • Developing and distributing e-newsletters and training announcements
  • Coordinating and executing logistics for SRCAC trainings and events
  • Creating and managing online registrations and evaluations
  • Delivering high-quality customer service to training participants
  • Assisting with grant reporting and data tracking
  • Providing support for an online training, ensuring it’s running smoothly
  • Working on collaborative projects with staff from other Regional CACs
  • Ensuring the training calendar is current, and files are well organized

Education and experience requirements we are looking for include:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Minimum of two years of customer service experience
  • Minimum of two years of professional experience working in program coordination, event planning, training support, or administrative operations
  • Minimum of two years of experience with data entry and management, report writing, and learning management systems preferred
  • Prefer experience in social media management, simple website maintenance, and Canva
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license

Location and Hours
The NCAC main campus is located in downtown Huntsville, AL. Our standard business hours are 9:00 - 5:00 CT, Monday through Friday. This position will work 40 hours per week, onsite in our SRCAC offices or remotely in one of the 16 states within the southern region (Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia). All candidates must be within one hour of a major airport and live in the Eastern or Central time zones. Occasional travel and a flexible schedule may be required.
