The Southern Regional Children's Advocacy Center (SRCAC) is seeking a Training Integration Specialist. We are looking for a candidate to join a team of passionate professionals deeply committed to creating transformational learning experiences for child abuse professionals, enhancing the multidisciplinary response to child abuse. This person will help identify challenges and create sustainable solutions through in-person, online, and blended learning experiences, resources, and publications that support the work of Children's Advocacy Centers (CAC), Multidisciplinary Teams (MDT), and State Chapters.

The successful candidate will be a thought leader in the CAC movement with the ability to analyze and synthesize complex problems and produce clear sustainable solutions. They will have proven experience with the successful management and execution of programming. Recent MDT, CAC, or Chapter experience is preferred but not required.

This position is based in Huntsville, Alabama, but may be performed remotely. The Department of Justice – Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention funds this position. This position is contingent upon receipt of continued funding of the project by the Department of Justice. Travel will be required. OJJDP currently restricts travel for SRCAC staff due to COVID. When travel resumes, this position may require up to 50% time for travel. 

The Southern Regional Children's Advocacy Center (SRCAC) is a National Children's Advocacy Center (NCAC) project funded through the Department of Justice to provide training and technical assistance to communities working to provide a coordinated, collaborative response to child abuse. Currently, there are 457 Children's Advocacy Centers and 16 state Chapter networks of CACs within the Southern region. SRCAC serves Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Place of Employment
The SRCAC offices are located in Huntsville, AL. Preference will be given to those candidates who reside or are willing to relocate to one of the 16 states within the southern region. All candidates must be within one hour of a major airport, and live in the eastern or central time zones.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Proactively identify, develop, and deliver high-level learning experiences, resources, and publications to support Children's Advocacy Centers, Multidisciplinary Teams, and State Chapter organizations within a highly collaborative team.
  • Analyze complex challenges and opportunities in the CAC movement and develop, synthesize, test, and implement new solutions.
  • Provide technical assistance/consultation for child abuse professionals looking to access available training and technical assistance.
  • Develop and implement program evaluation activities to measure the impact of training and technical assistance.
  • Work collaboratively with NCAC Training Center, Regional Children's Advocacy Centers (RCACs), and other Victim of Child Abuse Act Partners to design and implement joint and collaborative projects.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in related field preferred
  • Experience working with Children's Advocacy Centers (CAC), multidisciplinary teams (MDTs), and/or State Chapters preferred
  • Experience in development and delivery of training
  • Demonstrated experience in providing thought leadership preferred
  • Experience managing projects, committees, or workgroups preferred
  • Technical writing experience preferred

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have above excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc., and the ability to learn specific software programs used within the department. Knowledge of project management software is recommended.

Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience. NCAC offers a comprehensive benefits package including sick and annual leave; health, dental, vision and life insurance; and a 401k plan.
